Offerings
As a result of our history and demonstrated record of delivering return on investment, we know it is vital to have a horizontal specification like OAGIS for integration. It may be equally important to have vertical "plug-ins" into the horizontal specification in order to carry the unique information and to restrict values that can be agreed to within a vertical trading community or for a specific organizations needs. These agreements can be captured and used to further define the integration between businesses and applications with in an enterprise.
In addition, while OAGIS is intended to be easy to use and understand, we recognize that organizations sometimes require additional resources or clarity concerning the implementation of the specification. The Open Applications Group offers a series of focused services to provide assistance to industry groups in order to create these OAGIS "plug-ins" and to provide educational support for architects and implementers as they look to use OAGIS within their environments.
