COMMENTS:
Greg Petry discussed use of CSK Standards with Scott Luckett.
MEMA Direct Connect II standards are very similar to the CSK standards.
Dave Bennett of Inland Truck Parts is successfully using the MEMA Direct Connect II standards. They are also being used by CR, Federal-Mogul, and Dana. Al Jones will contact CSK to see if their standards could be used as a single aftermarket standard.
MEMA is releasing DC 2 standards pending legal review.

Mike Williams of Ozark Auto is working on an open standard
for internet based electronic commerce including on-line access.
He will make a report AAIA by January on the project status.

Mike Williams of Ozark Auto is working on an open standard on the Internet which could be used for Direct Access Systems. NAPA is using frame relay for their JOEI System with suppliers. Guidelines on Aftermarket On-line for DCII. Timelines on the Internet for Direct Access is an issue.

MEMA Direct Connect II has been released
Inland Brake said that they stopped using the DCII system because it was not working.
They are looking at converting to XML for their event driven data.
Auto Wares is currently using the Direct Connect II system.
NAPA has come out with their own system which uses X12 formats.
The NAPA system ties to their JOEI system for parts stores.

Certified transaction sets 810, 850, 855 & 856
Transaction sets 820 & 852 are in development.

Drafts of of the 810,850, 856 & 855 were reviewed by the ACEC. Revisions will be made by the MEMA X12 committee by July so that the standards can be certified at the September meeting of ACEC.

X12 4010 format should be ready by June-July, 1999
The committee will work on the 4010 standards in May.
The standards need to be ready for certification by June 1.

COMMENT:
MEMA X12 Committee will be meeting October 4. They will work on adapting the X12 guidelines to version 4010. They will work on developing templates to cut down the number of suppliers interpretations of the guidelines.
Begin work on 4010 format in October 1998.
